Caught A Live Bat At Work!

Today when i woke up, i feel different. I feel weird. Tried to sleep on the bus to work as usual but i can’t. It’s not emotionally but physically weird. My body feels funny. Anyway, im late for work as usual. I would like to apologize to my boss for always being late. I know he doesn’t talk much about me being late but it’s not that i did it on purpose. Like just now, i woke up early and waited for the bus for 20 mins. When i reach Toa payoh i have to wait another 10 minutes for the bus. That is just the waiting time, not to mention the journey. I don’t need to explain to them because blaming it on the bus and traffic is what i always say, and it’s true. Don’t worry boss, everyday i’m trying my best to be early and i am still trying

At work i didn’t talk much today because i wasn’t feeling too good. I didn’t went for lunch today so i had some sleep. When i woke up, my throat feels uncomfortable. Now i know why i felt weird this morning. I’m going to be sick. Later on, my storeman saw a bat hanging upside down near our store area. He wanted to catch it. But the plan was put on hold as he was busy. So later on in the evening before we knock off from work, the both of us caught it.

The tools we used were, 2 long poles, black tapes, forklift and a transparent container. It only took us five minutes to catch it. Once inside the container, he drilled holes for the bat to breath. I know that the bat was so scared. But don’t worry, we’re not intending to keep it or do any harm to it.

All we wanted was to have a close look at it. And yeah i took a picture of it. It’s so cute! Before we went home, we let it go. Also, i did some research and bats are not meant to be kept as pets as they are dangerous and may spread rabies.

Sorry Mr Bat for scaring you and keeping you inside the container. I know you’re afraid of us as much as we’re afraid of you too! Okay, i guess that’s it for now, im feeling sick and i think i will sleep early maybe. I hope i get well soon
